Molecular Medicine
Given our field of research interests and expertise in state-of-the-art technologies in biomedical research, we offer various opportunities for students aiming for both B.Sc. and M.Sc Molecular Medicine degrees.
The “Advanced Human Genetics” lecture (in English) is mandatory for all B.Sc. students and is accompanied by a literature seminar, which will give the students the possibility to gain first experience in presenting a scientific publication to an interested audience. Experienced research staff from the Institute will guide the students during this seminar and presentations will be prepared and held in teams of two.
M.Sc. Molecular Medicine students are warmly invited to attend the “Advanced Human Genetics” lecture and may apply for the “Humangenetik” module through their degree coordinator. All details on mandatory courses for the M.Sc. module can be found here. We also gladly offer M.Sc students the opportunity to complete their “methods course” with one of our scientific teams, please apply through your program coordinator.
If you are interested in doing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. thesis with us, please send your résumé and transcript of records and make sure to include a detailed list of your hands-on lab experience. If wet lab work is not your thing and you would like to focus more on bioinformatics or complex data analysis or you even already have some experience in the latter fields, we also regularly offer computer-based projects.
